Record your Screen in Ubuntu by RecordMyDesktop



 RecordMyDesktop is a tool to record a video and audio of your desktop in ubuntu. Using RecordMyDesktop you can capture a descent quality video of your desktop with sound .You can customize the area to record and  adding sound can be optional.You can set the quality of the video.





   Now  start  to record the  screen 



 Click on the  "RecordMyDesktop" icon 



 A dialogue box  for setting the  video quality and sound quality is available, you can select the window area to record in preview area. Click on the advanced button for more options.





you can set the frame rate of the video to make better quality video.Other options are available.




Or select a red button on the top right side of the screen.select area to record the screen 




    The selected area look like this 

  start recording  click Record on the top
button.After record complete click stop button to stop the recording.





You will get a ogv format video you can upload this file to youtube also.Files that contain the .ogv file extension are most commonly associated with the Ogg Vorbis video encoding technology. Ogg Vorbis is an audio compression format that is free and unpatented. Ogg is the name of the container format for the audio, video and metadata files. Vorbis is the name of the audio compression technology.
